Small Business Marketing Tips
Filed under: Small Business Marketing Tips
I’m going to kick off this Blog by quoting my favorite marketer and probably the guy whose stuff I’ve implemented the most and whose strategies I’ve adapted time and time again: Dan Kennedy
Here’s Dan Kennedy on personality in copy:
“Just about anybody can figure out how to sell things. But there’s genius in creating customers for life.”
Now I have no idea what that means to Dan Kennedy but I can tell you what it means to me… To me it means that as a Small Business Owner I have to position myself for repeat business.
It means I have to find a way to foster a relationship with my customers, find a way to stay in contact with them and finally find a way to sell them more stuff.
What this all means to me is not only marketing to new prospects and leads but also marketing to my existing customers.
It is a pretty well accepted theory in business that it is sufficiently easier and cheaper to get your existing customers to buy more from you then it is to get new customers to buy from you a first time.
